Ethical Monotheism Essay God is made known in as many ways as there are types of people in the world, but it is always the same God, ruling the world by rational rules. This theology is called ethical monotheism. Monotheism is the belief in one true God. Monotheists believe that their God is the one and only God and any other God is a fake. People are monotheists if they believe that there is only one God who is holy or distinct, separate, special different and set apart; for monotheists, God is not part of the universe, but He transcends it. The world is changeable and finite whereas, God is perfect and infinite. Judaism was, many years ago, a monolatrous faith. This means that Jews believed in one God but understood others existed. Others at that time were polytheist, as they believed in lots of different Gods. Then after the Ten Commandments, God told his people to worship the one true God. From then on Judaism became a monotheistic faith. Monotheism and monolatory are similar but different terms. In order to be monotheistic you have to just believe in only one God and not accept any others but him. In order to be monolatrous, you again believe and worship one God however; you know and understand other Gods. Ethical monotheism is the term used to indicate belief in one God, who is concerned with peoples moral behaviour. The belief is that God sets the moral rules by which people should live, and judges them according to the ways in which they behave. The primary belief of Judaism is that God is one. God is a single unity that is undivided, indivisible and unique. The first prayer of the Jewish faith is a declaration of this conviction: Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one! Many verses in the scriptures support the oneness of God. In biblical times there were battles against paganism or the belief in many Gods, all of whom control different aspects of the universe. They were seen to be humans who had surrealistic powers. The Jewish God however is not like that. He is the ultimate subject. He is the cause of everything there is; he is the source of all existence, the single and indivisible being. A threat to the unity of God is that of dualism or the belief in two great forces for example a light God and a dark God. Also trinitarianism went against the unity of God, however, believers insist that they believe in one God but he manifests in three persons: the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. He is described as having no beginning and no end. God is neither subject to the laws of birth and death, renewal or decay. God is the one and only constant in a life which is full of ephemera, He was before time and is not encompassed by it (Bahya ibn Asher ibn Halawa) Linked closely with God being eternal is the belief God is infinite. Something that is described as being infinite means that it goes on forever. Therefore the same can be said of God. Another attribute of an ethical monotheistic God is that he is holy. To be holy means you are different, separate and sacred. Holy was called by Rudolf Otto, the philosopher, as the mystery which terrifies or mysterium tremendum. Gods holiness will always be impossible for us to comprehend as is it totally beyond us, the unknown. Holiness is said to be like a fire: it repels and attracts at the same time. All believers in a holy God have given expression to this holiness by designating certain places, people, and days. The whole nation of Israel, committed to such a holy God, felt itself under obligation to be holy (Leviticus 11:45). According to the book of Genesis God is the source of the universe. The Genesis story explains how God worked for six days. It tells us he made the heavens, the earth, the land and the sea. He made food, the sun, the moon. He also created sea-creatures, insects, mammals and birds. Finally he said let us make man in Our image This belief in God the creator is now a main feature of the synagogue liturgical service. The congregation make a declaration in which they say God is the author and guide of everything. This proves God is intimately involved in the world that He made: every season, every birth, and every death. He is with us through every stage of his divine creation. In believing this Jews also believe that God is immanent and transcendent. This means that at the same time, God is close to each and every one of us and there is no escape from Him. Judaism teaches that God is both dwelling in everything (immanent) and beyond our understanding (transcendent). The moral qualities attributed to God fall into two categories; his sterner qualities e.g. his righteousness and his justice and his gentler qualities e.g. his goodness. In the Hebrew bible as a whole the two categories are equally stressed and are seen as balancing each other. God created the world with justice and compassion. When God judges and punishes, his judgement is always fair and more importantly his punishment fits the crime with extreme precision. On the other hand when God rewards someone he does this too with extreme precision. These two together measure for measure basically his punishments match his rewards. Numbers, Chapter five contains an example of measure for measure when God punishes an adulterer by making her body swell. Whatever happens in the world happens because God wants it to be, it is Gods will. God as judge indicates His authority and right to punish people for not living according to the standards of His expected behavior. In Torah He delivered His people from their enemies as long as the Israelites were obeying Him. However, when they disobeyed He allowed other nations to conquer Israel as punishment for disobeying. Since God is judge and since God knows everything we do there is no way He can be unjust in His judgement. As long as we have accepted God and are living our lives in a way that we are serving Him, then we are fulfilling Gods will. Justice does not always prevail. However the Torah promises life after death. Everyone will rise from the grave and stand in Judgement. God will send those who are justified to the world to come. Those who God does not justify will cease to be. Jews know God will make the right decisions and will therefore dedicate their lives to him to prove to Him that they should be rewarded. God is omnipresent. This means God fills the universe in all its parts and is present everywhere at once. Not a part, but the whole of God is present in every place. This is true of all three members of the Trinity. They are so closely related that where one is the others can be said to be, also. Therefore, when man is sinning God is there. If a child is doing something a parent has told him not to do, God is there. There is no place man can go to hide from God. God is also said to be omniscient; he knows everything. Thou knowest when I sit down and when I rise up (Psalm 139:1-3) Gods knowledge is out of space and time. Like Him, his knowledge is infinite and eternal. God knows our past and futures. No-one can hide anything from God. An ethically monotheistic God has all the attributes I have mentioned above. God is concerned by everybodys behaviour and shows these attributes in his caring role. God is perfectly good. God is goodness and goodness is God. Finally, it may be said that the belief in an Ethically Monotheistic God is the foundation of the Jewish Faith. A1b) An ethically monotheistic God is a God who is concerned with peoples moral behaviour. This is important to Jews however to be monotheistic is seen to be the pinnacle of which the faith is based. Actions are transformed by beliefs in a monotheistic God. Judaism is not a theory but a way of life. The first commandment is Do Not worship any other Gods but me. This means that God wanted all of his people to be faithful, true and loyal to him and only him. Monotheistic beliefs contain ethically beliefs as God is good in everyway. Monotheism transforms ethical actions into acts of worship. Therefore as long as Jews believe in one God his ethical side will follow it basically is a means of unity: the Jews mission, to demonstrate what it means to walk in the palms of God. If a Jew helps someone like they were told to do Love thy God and thy neighbour then they are actively worshipping God in an ethical way. It is also important that the above command is actually not two separate commands but a united one. In some systems of ethics, the believer can choose what the right way to behave is. In Judaism, the ethics are absolute. Rules regarding behaviour are laid down in the Torah. The task is to learn and follow them. However there is still a choice. They are not made to follow the law however, if they do or they dont they still believe in God and that is said to be the most important. Jews believe that God is all the attributes I have mentioned earlier on, therefore to believe in God is a belief in his ethical qualities. God is ethical. If he wasnt then He wouldnt be a supreme, supranatural being. Jews believe in the unity of God and his oneness. Therefore his ethical attributes are part of that. However, if a Jew was asked which is more important, they would say to believe in the one true God. This is because if they dont believe like a monotheist should then, in short they arent following Gods will and overall are not a true Jew. Every faith is based upon the belief in God/s whether it is one God or many Gods. In this case it is the belief in one God, the belief in God is the most important thing to any believer. As long as they believe the rest of the faith will follow. In conclusion, it is better to believe than to base your beliefs on the way God acts.

FCAPS Model is running efficiently with TMN layer but more is needed from this or extra version of this model. And below explained more details about the network models. TMN (Telecommunications Management Network) Model: TMN is Telecommunication Management Network. The standard model was first developed by ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union- Telecommunications) in the year of 1993 and was updated in the year 1996. ITU-T recommended this model as a framework where service providers provide their services to deliver to the networks. It has provided layered architecture for different levels of abstraction. The layered architecture as below BML-Business Management Layer SML-Service Management Layer NML-Network Management Layer EML-Element Management Layer The above layered architecture is the TMN logical layered architecture. By using this layered model architecture we can understand clearly how the IT Services depend on the network layers for their business needs and for better performance. FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, Security) Model: FCAPS was developed by the ITU-T in addition to the TMN layered architecture in the year of 1997. FCAPS is a model but not a product. The ITU-T initially developed this model for assisting how to manage telecommunication networks. It was also an ISO (International Organization for Standardization) model for the network management. The FCAPS framework is also called as Open System Interconnect (OSI) Network Management Model for network management implementations. This works based on TMN Layer and performs their functionality at each and every stage of TMN architecture layer. FCAPS Management: The Standard Model FCAPS management depends on OSI (Open System Interconnect). The OSI specifies five key areas which are under the FCAPS model. Those are Fault Management, Configuration Management, Accounting Management, Performance Management, and Security Management. F-Fault Management C- Configuration Management A- Accounting Management P- Performance Management S- Security Management Fault Management (F): In this functional area it is used as analysis of alarms and faults in the network. The network has ability to identify and isolate problems and providing information to appropriate person whom to deal with the problems. On the other hand, King uses entertainment as a rhetorical strategy to explain the lifestyle of Harry Potter, which creates a sense of rich and elegant content whereby the reader gets to concentrate more. King writes, â€Å"And sometimes she falls prey to the Robinson Crusoe syndrome. In Crusoe, whenever the marooned hero requires something, he ventures out to his ship-which has conveniently run aground on the reef surrounding his desert island†¦ † (324).Entertainment as a rhetorical strategy plays a vital role in ensuring the reader is not bored. King uses creative spells like the Cruse's ship t hat brings out an astonishing level of fantasy. Entertainment sets a scenario whereby the reader opens up to think critically while analyzing and evaluating the purpose of the story. Entertainment ensures that the reader becomes vitiated by the story; hence it increases the level of concentration and interest in reading the story. Description is another crucial aspect of rhetorical strategy used to create vivid images in the minds of readers.King has used subjective description to keep the readers intense, since he emphasizes on the reader's feelings. The author writes, â€Å"One day in my hometown of Bangor, I was walking up the street and observed a dirty-face boy of about 3 with scabbed knees and a look of extreme concentration on his face†¦ † (322). He uses words that give a description, which illustrates a picture in the reader's view. Also, King describes how Harry and his friends get into a tight corner and create a new spell, turning into a slide, thus making a c hild react gleefully.He used this strategy to capture the attention of his readers. Critically speaking, King did not succeed in compelling and convincing other people that Railings book was long. King himself comes to acknowledge that Roiling is a talented author that had an amusing story to tell and conveys her ideas without talking down. Further on, King compliments Roiling for setting standards which today's writers cannot achieve as easily as she can. Society's seeming disinterest in books and literature projects negative impacts on not only education and literacy, but on the general future as well.Inspiring people to read stories and articles about movies will increase literacy and would re-establish reading for pleasure in society once again and would lead the path to reading being the main medium for information and knowledge. In addition, non-readers lack the analytical and comprehensive skills of fluent readers, whereas the latter will most probably have built themselves a stronger vocabulary, impressive communication skills, and a rater knowledge of literature and composition.Reading is an integral part of culture, and human literacy is what primarily set us apart. It is crucial that it be re- introduced so that generations to come will be able to benefit from reading. In fact, school is the primary source of education that comes after parents' duty. Nowadays, many parents ignore and neglect their children in many different aspects, focusing on their Jobs and businesses, and they forget about their children, whom they depend on schools to teach them everything, starting with education and ending with social life.

The† Hard Choices† essay had a better outline and gave a more interesting dead than â€Å"Initiation into Adulthood† â€Å"Initiation into Adulthood† is a very basic essay and gave the impression that is was written by a less experienced writer. I felt the paper was boring and did not keep my attention while reading each short story. The most noticeable mistake was that the paper did a plot summary for each story and never provided a conclusion or a position in any of the stories. The checklist says to use present tense verbs and this story used mostly past tense.The â€Å"Hard Choices† essay gives an analysis of each short story and provides direct quotes from the short stories. â€Å"Initiation into Adulthood† did not do a imperative analysis of the short stories. There were no literary terms used in this essay and there were no works cited. The writer did not list the authors names in the essay to give credit for their work. This essay was b oring and did not really give the viewer cohesive account of what the writer was trying to convey. Hard Choices† on the other end was a good read! It was exciting it kept my attention and made me want to continue to read more. This essay followed most of the literary rules of writing, Although, I found the plot summaries for this essay to be boring as well. I really liked reading the comparative analysis ND the writer's position for each of the short stories. The writer gave us their view of why they felt each character made the decisions that were made for each story from their point of view.Unlike â€Å"Initiation into Adulthood† the writer for â€Å"Hard Choices† uses present tense verbs when writing about the short stories. The writer used the necessary resources to support their view of the stories which made the writer seem reliable. The conclusion for this essay was dead on and summarizes the short stories completely and was cohesive with the rest of the e ssay. Am not really into literature and I don't think I am a very good writer. Hopefully, that will change after this semester.I think something that would make both essays easier to read would be eliminating the plot summaries. Like novels and in most movies the reader/viewer does not want to have the plot given to them in the beginning. I think both essays would be a better read if their plots were a buildup and the reader was given the opportunity to read and draw their own conclusion.

It looks into the kinematics of molecules, wherein focus on the forces exists between molecules and the energy generated by the motion of these molecules (Poseidon Software and Invention, 1997). Etymologically, the KMT comes from â€Å"kinetic† which means moving, and â€Å"molecular† which comes from the root word molecule, classically the smallest unit of particle. The KMT includes several postulates which describe how the molecules of gases behave. The following are characteristics of how gas molecules behave: (1) Gases are composed of very small particles called molecules; (2) the molecules are very large in number; (3) they are perfectly spherical in shape and elastic in nature; (4) their volume is negligible which implies that they can move freely (Dogra, 1984); (4) the average distance between molecules is relatively large as compared to their size (Kotz, et al. , 2008); (5) they behave in a state of constant, random motion following Newton’s Laws (Selvaratnam, 1998); (6) they move in a straight line until they â€Å"collide with another [particle or with] the walls of the container† (Whitley, 2005, n. p. ). (7) the collisions of the gas molecules with other particles or with the walls of the container are perfectly elastic such that the total kinetic energy after the collision is equal to the total kinetic energy before the collision; (8) there are no attractive or repulsive forces between the molecules, and only during collisions do the particles exert forces on each other (Wulfsberg, 2000); (9) there is no energy lost during the collisions; energy is conserved; and (10) the average kinetic energy of the particles depends on the temperature of the system. These postulates can be further illustrated in terms of the interpretation of the temperature and pressure of a gas. Temperature, being a macroscopic characteristic of matter, is â€Å"interpreted in terms of the kinetic energy of the molecules† (Selvaratnam, 1998, p. 183). There is a directly proportional relationship between the temperature and the kinetic energy of the molecules of a gas. This means that an increase in temperature causes a similar increase in the kinetic energy or rapid movement of the molecules. â€Å"The hotter the gas is, the faster its particles move† (Whitley, 2005, n. p. ). Pressure, on the other hand, is â€Å"due to the incessant bombardment of the walls of the container vessel by the billions and billions of molecules present† (Selvaratnam, 1998, p. 183). This only means that if more collisions occur, the pressure is higher. The individual gas laws could be put into perspective in relation to the KMT. According to Boyle’s Law, â€Å"at constant number of moles and temperature, pressure and volume are inversely proportional† (Whitley, 2005, n. p. ). Charle’s Law, on the other hand, states that â€Å"at constant number of moles and pressure, the volume and the temperature are directly proportional† (Whitley, 2005, n. p. ). A third Gas Law consists of the theory that â€Å"at constant number of moles and pressure, the volume and the temperature are directly proportional† (Whitley, 2005, n. p. ). These individual gas laws, if combined, would produce an â€Å"ideal† gas. In relation to the motion of the molecules, the molecular activities in the three states of matter differ in several aspects. In the solid state, the particles are packed in a more closely manner. They are held closely to one another by their attractive forces (Poseidon Software and Invention, 1997). These strong, attractive forces between the particles cause them not to move freely and instead, vibrate. This feature results in a definite shape and volume of solids. In the liquid state, the intermolecular forces only permit the particles to flow or glide over one another. As compared to solid, the motion of the molecules is more random. The shape and volume of a liquid is dependent on its container. The intermolecular forces are also essential in understanding the dissolution of things. In the dissolving process, the molecules of the solute are surrounded by the molecules of the solvent. The Leadership Lessons of Jesus Christ When we talk about Jesus as a leader, we may imply two different forms: Jesus as the only Son of God, God of the universe, or the risen Christ as being one with God; or Jesus as the 1 st century flesh and blood human being, the historical figure. Since the purpose of studying leadership is to improve one's own leadership skills, it makes sense to analyze Jesus' applicable traits, actions, and accomplishments as a good leader—in his historical role—so his leadership skills can be feasibly related to ourselves as human beings. I will attempt to analyze, using modern leadership criteria, how Jesus of Nazareth, the Jew and carpenter's son, was an effective spiritual leader of his time. Let us first examine the leadership attitude Jesus showed in his ministry. According to the address Thomas Cronin delivered at the Western Academy of Management in 1982, part of what makes leaders appealing is their confidence and faith: Leaders have those indispensable qualities of contagious self-confidence, unwarranted optimism, and incurable idealism that allow them to attract and mobilize others to undertake tasks these people never dreamed they could undertake. (To Lead or Not to Lead, Unit One 36) Jesus had infectious self-confidence that attracted all types of people to his cause. A teacher of the law said to Jesus, â€Å"Teacher, I will follow your wherever you go† (Matt. 8:19). He was also an optimist: Jesus said, â€Å"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well† (Matt. 6:33). He was an idealist; his mission commanded his followers to be spiritually perfect (Matt. 5:48). Although Jesus' ethical standard was incredibly high, his faith in God was... ...human characteristics.
